Fear

Fear is a natural reaction of the body which helps protect us from threatening situations. However, fear is considered pathological when it arises in everyday situations which are not threatening. In such cases, it is generated by unreasonable and unrealistic thoughts and ideas. The body reacts with symptoms such as shaking, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat and sweating. Fear inhibits normal thinking and functioning and hinders people from developing freely and living up to their full potential. Practical and cognitive techniques help resolve the fear in both the short and long term.
